Hilotherm cooling device: controlled cooling for pain and swelling

The Hilotherm cooling device is a professional medical device that provides constant and precise cooling of the upper and lower jaw. It is frequently used during recovery after surgery or injury, but is also suitable for chronic conditions and post-traumatic care.

With a temperature setting between 15 and 22 degrees, the cooling can be perfectly adjusted to your specific needs. The cold helps relieve pain (often reducing the need for medication), minimizes swelling and bruising, and promotes faster healing.

A Zorgpunt specialist will personally deliver, install, and explain the device at your home. Please note that devices for the upper or lower jaw are always rented for periods of 7 days. Due to high demand, especially during holiday periods, we recommend reserving your device well in advance.

Mask for the Hilotherm device

To use the Hilotherm cooling device, a suitable mask for the upper or lower jaw is required. This mask can be purchased separately through our webshop.

Please note: purchasing the mask is not always necessary. Some hospitals have their own Hilotherm devices available. In such cases, the cost of the mask is often included in your hospital bill. However, if you are required to bring your own Hilotherm device to the hospital, you will generally also need your own mask. We recommend checking this with the hospital beforehand to ensure you have the correct equipment available in time.

When should you use this cooling device?
Before, after, or without surgery:

• facial surgery
• post-traumatic swelling or pain
• chronic inflammation or injuries

This device is delivered and installed by physiotherapists, including professional instruction.

• Standard: order before 2 pm, delivery within 2 working days: €40

• Weekend/Public holiday: €90

• Standard pickup: including cleaning: €40

Do not smoke inside the house as long as our home care equipment is with you — this helps prevent irreversible odor and fire damage for which you would be liable.
